This is an interactive Spanish video where you have the opportunity to practice Spanish at beginner level with a native Spanish speaker.

In this Spanish lesson we will practice buying food in Spanish with lots of very useful Spanish food vocabulary: fruits, vegetables, meats, and fish. In the next lesson we will continue this theme and look at the actual process of buying food in Spanish in a supermarket, shop, or street market. Buying food is of course a necessity, wherever you find yourself and it is a great way to find that all important interaction with native Spanish speakers in Spain or Latin America. The first time you ask for some fruit, veg, meat, or fish it can be a bit daunting, but the second time is a lot easier and the third time is a doddle! You will then also be able to strike up more of a conversation with the sales assistants as you gain more confidence in the basics of buying food in Spanish.

Please try to watch the video first before looking at the lesson notes. Answers to all tasks involved in the lesson will be given at the end of the post. Try not to look at the answers until you have tried a good few times to give your own responses.
