Spanish pop singer David Bisbal was born in Almería on June 5th 1979 and is a Latin Grammy-winning artist. He gained his initial fame in the first series of the Spanish interactive reality television show Operación Triunfo. The grand prize was the chance of representing Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest. He came second in the final losing to Rosa López.

David Bisbal signed a contract with Vale Music Record label and released his first album recorded in Miami under the title “Corazón Latino” with Kike Santander. The album went 7 times platinum by summer 2002 after having topped the Spanish charts. The first single from the album, “Ave Maria”, had a phenomenal success and the album also went on to win the Latin Grammys.

All of the subsequent David Bisbal albums have topped the Spanish Albums Chart and he has toured extensively throughout Europe and Latin America. In February 2004 he released his second album, “Bulería”, which achieved similar success in Spain and throughout Latin America with more than 1 million albums sold in Spain alone. It was the best selling album in Spain in 2004 and David Bisbal became a superstar. In March 2005 he released a DVD “Todo Por Ustedes” that contained live registrations of concerts in the United States, Latin America and Spain.

2006 saw the release of the third studio David Bisbal album “Premonición”. In the first week of Spanish sales, Premonición sold more than 400,000 copies. Singles from this album included “¿Quién Me Iba a Decir?”, “Silencio”, “Soldado De Papel”, “Amar Es Lo Que Quiero”, and “Torre de Babel”. The fourth of the David Bisbal albums was released in 2009 and titled “Sin Mirar Atrás”. Sin Mirar Atrás was recorded in Madrid, Miami, Los Angeles, Mexico, Bratislava, Londres, Stockholm and São Paulo. The album was produced by Grammy Award-winner Sebastian Krys and Bisbal is accredited as co-writer on six songs. This album includes collaborations with English singer-songwriter Pixie Lott and Mexican singer-songwriter Espinoza Paz and features singles “Esclavo de Sus Besos”, “Mi Princesa”, and “Sin Mirar Atrás”. Bisbal has also recently worked with the likes of Rihanna and Jessica Simpson.
