This lesson is part of the Advanced Spanish Course

In this free spanish video lesson we will look at different ways to emphasise in Spanish using El que / La que / Los que / Las que and Quien. This is the first Spanish lesson in the Advanced level Spanish course that I will be running from now on with free daily Spanish lessons. For the first time, I will be speaking and writing only in Spanish. I believe that this is the best way for the higher level Spanish student to progress. You should be trying to do as much as you can in Spanish to push yourself to the next level. Sometimes, of course, it will be a little frustrating when you don’t catch everything, but with time and repetition you will find yourself learning more and more automatically, without even realising it. Try also to source out lots of interesting material in Spanish to listen to and to read in your day to day life. Make sure that you find things of genuine interest as that way you will be so much more motivated and things will sink in much better. Do your best to forget your own mother tongue when you are studying Spanish with me and watching my Spanish lessons. Try not to translate everything back to your own language. Try to immerse yourself in Spanish completely. This is another reason why I choose to write and speak only in Spanish now: so that we start to move away from our Spanish to English translations and explanations. It might be tough at first, but you will thank me later!

Lesson notes:
