This is the 54th Spanish lesson in the Beginner Spanish Practice Course. This is an interactive Spanish video where you have the opportunity to practice Spanish at beginner level with a native Spanish speaker.

In this Beginner Spanish Practice Lesson you have the opportunity to practice Present tense irregular Spanish verbs which change with the first person (Yo/I), such as Conocer, Saber, Traducir, Dar, and Hacer. These tricky verbs are regular in all instances except with the first person (Yo/I). You might think, for example, that “I know” would be: “Yo conoco”. This would be the most logical conjugation (modification of the verb from its base form) following the rules of conjugating “regular” Spanish verbs in the present tense. However, with “Conocer” (and other verbs we will see in this lesson) the verb conjugation/modification is quite different and we say: “Yo conozco”. This is the fourth in a series of similar Beginner level practice video lessons highlighting Present tense irregular Spanish verbs.

Please try to watch the video first before looking at the lesson notes. Answers to all tasks involved in the lesson will be given at the end of the post. Try not to look at the answers until you have tried a good few times to give your own responses.

This lesson practices the information taught in Beginner Spanish Lesson 54: Present tense irregular Spanish verbs which change first person from my Beginner Spanish Course.

An example sentence using a reflexive Spanish verb is “Maria se peinar” (Maria is combing her hair). Here Maria is both the subject (the one doing the combing) and the object (the one being combed). “Se” is the reflexive Spanish pronoun and typically precedes the verb.

*Test and expand your Spanish at beginner level*
*Practice the 58 topics of the Beginner Course*

This is the 45th Spanish lesson in the Beginner Spanish Practice Course. This is an interactive Spanish video where you have the opportunity to practice Spanish at beginner level with a native Spanish speaker.

In this Spanish lesson we will practice asking travel times and buying tickets in Spanish. Specifically, we will practice a roleplay together arranging a trip at the train station, asking for times of departures and arrivals and discussing prices. This type of practice is essential if you are to manage successfully speaking Spanish when you are travelling in a Spanish speaking country. It really isn’t so difficult to negotiate the basics of buying a ticket in Spanish in a ticket office, the hardest bit is getting off the ground and having the confidence to start speaking Spanish for the first time. For this reason, I hope these types of interactive Spanish roleplays in everyday situations will serve you well in your preparation.

Please try to watch the video first before looking at the lesson notes. Answers to all tasks involved in the lesson will be given at the end of the post. Try not to look at the answers until you have tried a good few times to give your own responses.

This lesson practices the information taught in Beginner Spanish Lesson 45: Asking times and buying tickets in Spanish from my Beginner Spanish Course.
