In this free Spanish lesson we will see some typical Spanish Christmas greetings such as ¡Feliz Navidad! (Happy Christmas!) and ¡Feliz Año Nuevo! (Happy New Year!). We will continue this theme with another free Spanish lesson examining more complex Christmas greetings in Spanish such as En Navidad y el Año Nuevo mucha alegría y felicidad (Joy and happiness for Christmas and the New Year) and Feliz Navidad y que se cumplan tus/sus/vuestros sueños en el próximo año (Happy Christmas and may all your dreams come true in the coming year). These types of Christmas greetings are really useful for when you want to write your Christmas cards or Christmas emails or texts to Spanish speaking friends. You will really impress them with these greetings and put a big smile on their face for the Christmas holidays. Christmas carols can be a great way of practising Spanish too as most people are familar with the classic Christmas carols and it can be very interesting to compare the translations between the English and Spanish versions. If comparing English and Spanish texts is something that you enjoy why not check out my English-Spanish Parallel Texts Course where I describe all of the major cities of Spain in English and Spanish with a Spanish mp3 audio. Try to understand as much as you can first just by listening to the audio, then read the Spanish text and finally compare the English text.
