Holla Laura.
How are you?
My name is Elmira and I really want to learn Spanish. I am a REAL beginner so I think I am going to give you a hard time :)) I am writing to you from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
I really hope that the time difference will not be much of a problem for you, we are 2 hours ahead :))
Take care,
Adios,
Elmira
Hi Elmira,
Thank you very much for your interest in my blog and in my live online Spanish lessons.
Unfortunately I do not have your email address to write to you directly, so I hope that you see this message.
The time difference between Spain and Dubai will not be a problem, I already have another student from Dubai and it works fine. I am quite flexible with my teaching hours from Monday to Friday so please just let me know which is the best time for you. I am really looking forward to speaking with you and hopefully getting started with some online classes soon.
Best regards,
Laura
Hola Laura! I think that your blog is awesome, and I hope you keep on posting videos because although I'm a beginner, I'm hoping to take Spanish 2 or 3 in high school. I haven't been taking spanish at school though, so I'm hoping these lessons will help me catch up!
Hola,
Thank you very much for your kind comments about my Spanish video course and your interest in my blog. I am really pleased that you are enjoying my daily lessons and that they are helping you with your studies.
Don't worry I will be continuing these videos for a long time to come! I have only just finished my "Beginners" course and am currently posting my "Intermediate" course, with an "Advanced" course to follow.
If you fancy some live online Spanish classes with me at any stage just let me know. This is the quickest way to progress and full details of these personal lessons are available on my blog.
Have a lovely day and enjoy your Spanish!
Saludos,
Laura
Muchas gracias por las lecciones espanol Profesora Garrido. I am hearing impaired and I am trying to become fluent in your native language. This is a challenge for me, but not impossible. My interest in leaning Spanish is because of my girlfriend, she is a Colombiana, and we travel to Colombia from the USA to visit family and friends.
I have had trouble understanding the Spanish alphabet, (the G sound and the V and W) your lesson number 5 helped me very much. Great lesson for a hearing impaired person. I especially want you to know this, I want you to know how important and how excellent your lessons are for phonetics. Even though I have the advantage of a Spanish speaking person in la casa, I could not grasp the above sounds until I heard your lesson number 5.
Colombians from Medellin Colombia say they speak a very good Spanish, and I agree it is very good, I have told my girlfriend that “you certainly use your tongue a lot for the D and C letters, etc“. She has replied “in Spain it is even more so” and yes, I see it in your videos.
I have a good start for a Spanish vocabulary, but I tend to shy away from attempting to speak Spanish, I have to stop and think of words to say, and this makes me hesitant to speak.
i love to learn spanish ..These lessons r gr8…..thank u ….hope soon i will be able to write comments in spanish :-)
HOLA
Peace for you ,Iam Swan from Jordan I realy loved your lessons .
I enjoy studying different languages alhtough I study nursing(in university) which is completely different, but we study nursing in Jordan in english so there is some Latino and greek termology that we use e.g :cerebrospinalfluid(CSF) which mean the fluid that surrounds the brain.so as you can see spanish has aot of advantage.I want to speak spanish fluently as I speak Arabic ,english ,some hebrew.so help me for that please. vaya con Dios!
Hola Laura,
Hi Laura,
I really appreciate the way you teach Spanish. I’m living in NY and almost everybody in my neighborhood speaks Spanish.I was eager to find out a free or cheap class somewhere in the city, but I couldn’t. I realized that if I take all the lesson from the beginner to advanced I’ll be able to communicate with my neighbors.
Thanks for your valuable time!
Aimé.

Thanks so much for this website! I’m learning Spanish at uni this year and I hope to be fluent by the end of the year.
Hola Laura
I am from India and i love your website. I want to learn spanish. I have been trying to look at various classes online but they seem so difficult. I will take up your lessons seriously and hope to write an email to you soon in spanish itself. It is a little difficult for me coz the language is no way close to my dialect but i am stubborn and i will make it.Thanks for the website especially for people like me who can’t afford to pay for the fancy classes like rosetta stone.
Sarah
Thank you all so much for taking the time to write here. It is great to get your feedback and I am very proud that you are enjoying my Spanish lessons. All my best, Laura
I’m enjoying your lessons very much. I love your accent and the pronunciation of your Spanish and English words. It’s very enjoyable listening to you. Thank you.
